Park City is known for world-class skiing and fancy resorts. Unfortunately, Utah is a desert and the snow melts. Are ski resorts ghost towns during the warmer months? Fortunately, many resorts offer activities in the summer when all of the snow has melted. Here are a few offered in the Park City Base Area.
- Alpine Slides: Park City is home to one of the world’s largest alpine slides. If you are unaware what an alpine slide is, imagine a slide that kids would like to play on at a park. Now imagine it goes on for a few thousand feet, and you are in a kart.
- ZipRider and Flying Eagle: What good is a mountain if you can suspend yourself 60 feet above the ground? The ziplines at Park City offer stunning views at a reasonable quick speed.
- Lift Rides: Those lifts you take to get to the top of the mountain during ski season are open year-round. Ride a scenic lift to the top and go a nice relaxing downhill hike. Or bring your bicycle on the lift and fly down the mountain at your own risk.
- Miniature Golf: No summer is complete without a round of mini-golf.
- Kid’s Adventure Zone: It’s just like it sounds. There are lots of activities for families with kids.
