Not every State has an exclusive holiday, but Utah celebrates Pioneer Day. July 24th is the day Brigham Young and the first arrival of Mormons entered Salt Lake Valley in 1847. The holiday is meant to honor the bravery of the first arrivals in settling a vast desert landscape.
What to Do on Pioneer Day
Pioneer Day is celebrated in similarly to Independence Day. There are fireworks, parades, festivals, picnics, concerts, and lots of barbeques.
